Asmov

Just realized that Asimov Foundation series radiates with many. My lecture however will be on the much filmed "I Robot."

I think what we are seeing within science fiction, take Prometheus (Ridly Scott), is a new kind of science fiction. Before, the genre kind of got stuck in a rut because of its horror subtext. Now it's on even ground - science fiction mixes, apologetically, other genres as a subtext.

Notwithstanding, my favorite from Asimov would be the "Robots of Dawn" series.

Anytime you put Humans and machines (Cyborgs and Robots) in one room you are bound to get a reaction, if not a chain reaction. - Arrivederci Steve Austin.

John Hancock you don't think Prometheus was mixed in horror? I do.
A recent scifi flick NOT based in horror, IMHO was Avatar
