I am now one of your exclusive authors...one of the elite 10,211. Which is one more than when I began writing this. Guess that puts some perspective on things.

But in any case, I hope you will help me achieve my objective, which is of course to get people to read my book.

What? Oh, you're not Goodreads, the entity? There's no entity called Goodreads? "Goodreads" doesn't even pass its own spell check? This is...this is just a collection of people and their books?

I see. Ahem. Well, excuse me, then. Hello there, reader(s)! I hope we can become acquainted, engage in fruitful discussion, and that perhaps eventually you will even...well, you know.

Speaking of which, allow me to tell you about it: see my author picture? That's Yesterday and Today. That's the book I wrote. It's serious. It's introspective. It's thought-provoking. It's different. That's the best reason I can give for your reading it. It's different. Not TOO different. But nothing else will strike you in quite the same manner. I hope.

ME, on the other hand...I try to not often embody that picture. The giddiness in this test post is rather over-the-top, but I am sure it is no stretch to imagine that I prefer to dwell more in levity than in the shadow. So to speak. But I do follow the conversation to its deepest level, and wherever such is, there I will be also. That's about as good an "about me" blanket statement I can make.

And there you have it! I'm here, my book is here, and now all that's left to do is figure out how to integrate...who to meet, what to discuss, how to present myself (or is this working?).
