Happy life and full life
« You cannot have both an happy life and a full life.
In fact, for to have an happy life you must live without thinking about the past, for don’t have doubts or regrets on it; you mustn’t mind much the consequences of your own actions or you will be under stress waiting them; you mustn’t give your best doing your duties for don’t suffer doing them – but you have to do them correctly anyway – and you must please yourself for what do you have, for to be happy of that.
Instead, for to have a full life, you must think steadily to the past, both for the experiences done, that for don’t make again the same mistakes, that for understand better the present; you must mind well the consequences of your every action, for don’t be surprised; you must perform at your best your duties, otherwise it will not be a full life because you’re not using your capacities at your best; and you must always want to have more, otherwise you please of what do you have, and, it is not having a life lived at your best (and so, not a full life).
About me, I chose a full life when I swore my loyalty to the gods, engaging me to give all myself to them in this mortal life. »
