Why I wrote Spare Time

“Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.” — DIETRICH BONHOEFFER

This quote by a preacher in Germany probably does not need any further explanation once you learn he said it in pre-war 1930's Germany. How often have you wondered at quiet times why someone does not do something about an issue that is important to you? Why is it you yourself are not doing something about it? Are you too busy with life, job, family? Not enough "spare time"?

The idea behind this novel is that we are all busy, we all have duties and responsibilities ... but does being a citizen of this great nation also mean we have to participate in its greatness?

This novel is about two people who decide do do their part, no matter how large or small, to change the direction of the nation rather than just talk about it. While I hope you will learn from reading this, and be motivated to do something ... it is an action novel so entertainment also an important aspect; a sort of "edutainment" if you will. I hope you'll check it out.
