The major flaw with human beings is that despite all our cleverness and ingenuity we both tell and believe lies. Recently I read “Lying” by Sam Harris, and as is usual with his work, it has given me a lot of food for thought.

As flawed individuals, people make mistakes, and when we are afraid of what will come from it, we lie. Sometimes, some bad people will lie to take advantage of others, to rob them of their money, or to get elected to get power and control over everyone else.
