The heading is not a question. It is a statement. Not everyone writes a book. I have written one that explains my lack of belief in god and the things that the religions teach. This is treading on sacred ground and kicking a very sacred cow, as far as many people are concerned.

But the topic of religion in general has been of great interest to me since I was quite young. There was a time when I was religious, but apart from the very early stage of my life, when as a child I accepted everything I was told, I was a doubter regarding what the religions taught. A lot of people are doubters, and they keep their doubts to themselves, and go along with it all none the less, or just drift away altogether from their churches. They become lapsed.
