By taking the view I have arrived at, after much thought, reflection and research, that religion is in fact a pack of lies, I have incurred the ire of some of the less tolerant and more adamant members of the global religious community. To these people, their religious views are the very foundation and cornerstone of their lives. For someone such as me, to vocalise my disbelief, is an affront to their beliefs which are obviously very close to their hearts.

People have those beliefs because they were lied to by the churches, and they believed those lies. I was lied to by my churches, and for a time, I too believed those lies, superficially and only for a short time however. The doubt in my deepest mind began to gnaw away on my religious beliefs, and the only way to settle it one way or another, was to study the subject.
