Timeless Truths for Troubled Times is a book of Christian meditations I wrote both to help me get through my own difficult days and to give comfort, encouragement and hope to others going through tough times. I've been gratified by how many people have let me know how much that book has helped them, and the fact that churches have used the meditations and reflection questions I wrote to stimulate meaningful discussions about how our faith helps us cope when it seems like everything is going wrong.

Over the last few days, I've thought a lot about the utter devastation wrought by "superstorm" Sandy, and how hard it must be for people who have lost so much so suddenly to hold on to hope, and have faith that God is with them in the midst of their overwhelming grief, shock, and fear. I've felt powerless to help, because I don't have much money to give and I live too far away to be there in person to volunteer in some way.

I've decided that what I can give are my words of encouragement, strength, and hope.
