You see, this is what happens when you give yourself a deadline--now I'm writing and editing furiously to have The Tusks of Odoben ready for the world before November 30th. The book is complete (hahaha, did I really write that). I should say that the final sentence has been written. But it is now in the hands of my special readers who I know will return the 8 1/2 by 11 sheets with spots of blood and sweat.

So once I receive the excellent feedback, I will tweak and add bits here and there to the story to clear up any possible confusion, as well as fill the inevitable holes. So far I'm happy with the overall package and the direction the characters are going. They're maturing. There's a hint of romance. GASP! I never thought I'd be dabbling in romance. But it is there, however slight.

Will the book make the deadline? Well, that's up to my loyal first-readers and how much I'll have to tweak to make it worthy for your eyes. But it'll definitely be out in time to wrap one up and set it underneath the Christmas tree :)
