This is ta day that the Lord has made... I will rejoice and be glad in it!! That can be easier said than done... finding things to rejoice for that is. Satan likes to smack us all in the face every chance he gets reminding us of all of our failures and try to discourage us in every way and attack us from any angle. My 8 yr old was asking me about this and this was how I explained it so he could better understand... Satan is like a big bully. Bullies pick on people because they don't like themselves or are jealous of what you may have that they know they will never achieve. See Satan even believes in God and he knows the ending of the story and he knows that he will NEVER have what a child of God will/does have. There for to make himself feel better and because he doesn't want to be there alone he consistently tries to deceive and lie to people to take them down with him. My son's response was " oh like at recess when someone gets in trouble and even though I didn't do anything I got in trouble to because he said I did?" I told him yeah, a lot like that! But just like bullies have to be dealt with so does Satan. Because as a human, we can change through God's help, but Satan will NEVER change because he wants to be God. So we talked about ways to help kids that may bully or be mean but then he asked, what about Satan, "How do you deal with him?' I told him that was easy we don't have to because God will. I explained that it's the same as going to an adult for help at school is like going to God about Satan because Satan has NO authority over God and HAS to do as God says. But as our conversation came to a close I told him that just like kids at school, a day will come where you won't have to be around them anymore because you have graduated and moved on in your life. That's the same with Satan, a day will come, when God returns, that we will no longer have to deal with Satan because God does!! So as I tucked him in and said our prayers he asked God to help the kids that needed it, to help him be right in how he handles situations and to hurry back here because he wants Satan to get in trouble for what he does to everyone too!! Oh from the mouth of babes!! I always encourage my kids to pray before they do anything because with God on their side, who can hurt them. Phil. 4:13 (my fav verse)says " I can do ALL things through Christ who gives me strength!! Because WITH God NOTHING is impossible!! Thank you Lord for allowing us this power but most of all Father, I thank you for my wonderful children!! I hope Satan dreads when my family's feet hit the floor thinking "oh no their up", because there is NOTHING Satan can do to me or my family because all of us that belong to God are protected by Him. So no matter what you may be facing now, now it's only temporary and that God IS in control!! Thank you God for everything you do!! YOU alone are all we need!! We love you!! -- Amen!!
