“What about you?” I asked trying to change the conversation away from myself. Although I was completely enamored with Taylor, I still didn’t know him well enough to confide about my strange dreams, and even more embarrassing, that I was now dreaming about him.
“I meditate so I don’t dream that often,” he replied.
“Why wouldn’t you dream if you meditate?” I asked taking a bite of my cereal. This should be good.
“Because meditation cleanses the mind. It leads me to tranquility and insight. It frees me from negative states,” he explained enthusiastically.
Even after reading my mother’s books, I had no idea what he was going on about. “You lost me.”
“Dreaming is the mind trying to solve problems in your sleep. Meditation allows my mind to focus in an awakened state. Then the solution becomes a reality.”
“Should I start calling you Buddha?” I asked sarcastically.
