Straight No Chaser by
Janice JadeMy rating:
3 of 5 starsI downloaded this book, not knowing that it was one of self-help. However, I like this category. And even if I did not, I think I would have liked the book nonetheless. I would not be a responsible reader if I did not advise that Straight No Chaser has quite a few grammatical errors that, at times, interrupted the flow of my reading. With that being said, the book is worth reading if you are a woman that finds herself in relationships with the same type of man, outcomes, and mistakes. Its refreshing that the author speaks to the reader as if they are in the comfort of her home, having a candid conversation with a group of women. I must say that I admire her for the courage displayed in writing about personal experiences that exposes her past mistakes. Admittedly, Straight No Chaser, started off as any other relationship book. However, the "CAKE" chapter and all that followed perked up my pupils and kept my mind revisiting my past relationships. I found myself saying "Amen" to many of the author's points and having to own up to others. This is an honest piece of work. So please...brace yourself
