Rules for Rounding

Here's the general rule for rounding: via: Fact Monster dot com

If the number you are rounding is followed by 5, 6, 7, 8, or 9, round the number up. Example: 38 rounded to the nearest ten is 40
If the number you are rounding is followed by 0, 1, 2, 3, or 4, round the number down. Example: 33 rounded to the nearest ten is 30

All right, are you wondering why I'm giving you a math lesson? I mean really, I'm an author, not a mathematician.

Honestly, if you know me, you know I'm about as far from a mathematician as anyone can be. I tell people all the time, in real life, I'm a dental hygienist, because there are 32 teeth and I can count to 32! (without removing any clothing or footwear I will add!)

However, I've noticed many reviews, for CONSEQUENCES, TRUTH, and other amazing books that have started **** (4.5 Stars) or better yet, ** (2.5 Stars).

Now, I passed freshman (high school) math. (I do believe that may have been the last math class I ever took. I seem to have vague memories of some counselor at IU trying to get me to take math. I said, "No, thank you. It is not required for my major." OH, yes, I didn't chose dental hygiene just for the shiny teeth!)

I digress...

I passed freshman math and have helped with many of my children's math lessons.

The point I'm trying to make is this --

IF you want to give a .5 on a "Star" rating... it is customary and expected to round UP!

That means... **** (4.5 Stars) should be ***** and **(2.5 Stars) should be ***
