Sorry. There's only one good excuse for not keeping up communications and I have it: I've been writing.

I won't go into the details about all the other detritus that gets in the dicing way, the relevant point is: I'm just putting the finishing touched to Dammit. I'm polishing and re-writing sentences, choosing better words, deleting all those crappy adverbs and generally trying to give my editor less opportunity to prove how clever he is and how inept I am.

Unless I'm an imbecile (never far from my imagined possibilities) or he is an even bigger pedant than is humanly possible (don't hold your breath), the book will be ready to typeset by April (sigh) August.

I haven't even talked to Thomas about the cover yet, although we're about to start a new animated project together that excited us both during our exchange of drafts last autumn.

Here's to 2013 being a big year.
