Finally Finished! Tell Me No Lies (part 3 to the Tell Me Series)

Wow!!! What can I say? Where to start? Well, for starters, Tell Me No Lies, the third story with my characters Aric, Chyanne, Jamie, and Gabriel, is done. Oh my gosh! That was the longest birth I’ve ever had to give. When I first started this story, back in August, home life was grand. The kids were happy. I was content and I still had a husband. I think that was the reason, that in the beginning, this story was set to go in a totally different direction. At first, you were supposed to see Jamie and Chyanne go visit his family. You would have even gotten a chance to meet Jamie’s family up close and personal. Then… life happened and I woke up one day to find my family life had been ripped from underneath me. For an entire month I couldn’t eat. I couldn’t sleep, but worst of all, I couldn’t write. I was crushed. I felt as if my love, my passion for what I loved to do had been ripped apart at the seams just like my life had been. This went on for forty-five days. For forty-five days this story just sat on my PC and looked at me. The characters had quieted down; no words would come to me. No scene would play for me. My whole existence had been paused. I watched as my fellow scribe, Kai Leakes, finished her book. I sat back and garnered how excited she was to write and how grand did she write (I got to read a few chapters). Then the day came when she turned in her manuscript. She was done. I was happy for her, but then I sat and cried my eyes out. I cried because, initially, I had written over three-hundred pages of a manuscript and hated just about every single word I’d written. Yet, I couldn’t bring myself to start over or finish what I had. Kai could already feel my angst. I guess we’re just connected like that. She comforted me, gave me soliloquies of encouragement. Then she told me to stop being a wimp and to get my mojo back (my friends are blunt like that). Yes, she’d read most of all of what I’d written. She thought it was a good read, but she was biased and she knew this. So she told me to go with what was in my heart and my heart told me that what I’d written was complete (excuse my French) bullshit. So in the beginning of December I scrapped the entire thing and started from scratch. I went with what I knew… I’m lying. I free wrote this new manuscript the entire way through. Now, on this day of January 5, 2013 at 101, 502 words and 357 pages later, Tell Me No Lies (the rewrite) is done. I’m proud of myself. I’m thankful for my love, Kai Leakes, being there. And even though she loved the old manuscript, she likes this one too. LOL! There is an inside joke as to why she loved the other one and only liked this one. All in all, I’m proud of me. Oh… and I know I said before that this would be the last time you would see these characters, but ah… they decided that maybe, just maybe you’ll see them again…sometime in the distant future. Happy New Year everyone and I want you to be blessed!!! Tell Me No Lies!!!-2013!

Melody Franklin Without giving anything away there has to be a fourth series to this book. I'm hooked on the characters you have created. Could be disappointed if fourth series don't happen.
