There's no denying it - I have been a blogging failure the last few months (okay, eight months). I can explain though, I swear! Here goes...

Last May I gave birth to my daughter and well, somehow the weekly "BLOG" reminder on my Calendar came and went unnoticed and suddenly it's January and I realize that I have left my newly redesigned website languishing on its own out here. She's now sleeping through the night and I have a babysitter and things seem to have suddenly settled down (thank God). So I'm back!

Obviously it was a big year personally but it was also a big year professionally. I "gave birth" so to speak to a few other babies (hmmm...suddenly this metaphor is kind of grossing me out, let's move on). What I a mean to say is that I had three books published in 2012 (my first three books!!).

"Knockout" came out in May, "Someone to Depend On" came out in June and "A Matter of Timing" was released in October.

With those "firsts" came a few other exciting "firsts."

My first interviews (here and here), my first reviews (here, here, and here among others (yay!)).

Getting my first royalty cheques made it all seem official finally!

Most exciting for me was receiving my first few pieces of fan mail. Each one has given me a feeling of breathless excitement - I still can't believe that there are people out there reading my books!

2012 was a big year. I hope that 2013 can live up to it...but it will be hard!
