'THE GAME'

I spent the last month or so editing, revising and updating my Young Adult fantasy novel
THE GAME
THE GAME

This book was first published by Walker Books, and has been out of print for several years, so I thought I'd resurrect it as an e-book. When I first began re-working it, I was so out of touch with the story that it felt like coming to it as a current work in progress, which, I suppose, it has been, and it feels - surprisingly - as relevant today as when I first wrote it all those years ago.

For those of you who are familiar with the original book,I'm seriously considering changing its title for any future print version. There are so many books called 'THE GAME', and nowadays 'game' seems to suggest something electronic. As the story involves Maegaera, one of the Greek Furies, gently manipulating humanity towards its ultimate destruction for a bet, I felt that 'SONG OF THE FURIES', or even,'FURY'S SONG' might give more of the flavour of the story, but I'd love to know what you think.

For people who haven't yet read the story, it also involves a girl called Lucy and an extraordinary autistic person - Jennie.

Lisa Hello, I'm glad you didn't change the title.

I remember reading this book when I was young and I loved it, but my copy was from the library and I have never been able to find it since. I couldn't remember your surname either, all I remembered was that the title was "The Game" and the author was Enid-somebody! I tried googling the book several times over the years and had no luck, until now.

So, thank you for re-publishing on Kindle - I've just downloaded my copy - and thank you for not changing the name, or else I may never have found it again!
