Sometimes, dealing with a four year old is hard. Half of you wants to yell, while the other side wants to laugh. At other times, it’s pure frustration. Take ‘please’. I taught my daughter please at such a young age, but somehow it isn’t enough anymore. Now, you have to say ‘princess please’. It has got so bad, we just had this conversation.
Daughter: Say princess please.
Me: For what?
Daughter: I can’t unless you say princess please.
Me: Can’t what?
Daughter: Just say it already. I can’t until you say it.
Me: Say what? What are you asking for, are you trying to get permission for something naughty or nice?
Daughter: *Sighs. Like mommy is the annoying one.* Just say it already, momma.
Me: Fine. Princess please.
Daughter: Thank you! I’ll go put on my dress since you said princess please!
Yes. Somehow, when she wants something, instead of her saying it? I guess I am supposed too. I think we need some more practice.
