Getting Facebook "Likes" for Dead Authors Fan Pages
I was reading the New York Times, and an essayist was writing about the Facebook pages of his favorite dead authors and their getting "Likes" on their Facebook pages. So, I decided to check up on the state of my favorite dead author Facebook pages.
First up, Dashiell Hammett is doing well. He has 15,453 Likes. I went ahead and Liked his fan page, so you can add 1 to that total of Likes. Next, I checked out Raymond Chandler. He's doing better than Dashiell by clocking in with 40,125 Likes. Again, I checked the Like button. I do like his profile picture where he's holding a cat.
I moved on to Ross Macdonald, another one of my favorite private detective novelists. He's falling behind Dashiell and Raymond, showing only 2,656 Likes. I hadn't yet Liked his Facebook fan page, so I rectified that ommission. John D. MacDonald is another private eye writer I immensely enjoy reading. His Facebook fan page has netted 4,300 Likes, and I added mine to his total, as well.
That ended my short tour. My hope is none of these legendary authors disappears from the readers' radars. I'll also never come within a country mile of them even in my wildest dreams. That's okay. The link to my Facebook author fan page is https://www.facebook.com/eclynskey. It has 139 Likes. Click through to add your own Like there, if you like. Thanks.
