I'm going to be perfectly blunt and say this year so far has sucked. I know a few people have asked why I haven't been blogging. Here's why: the first day of the month I was down on the couch with a slight fever, no appetite, and no energy. Unlike me, because I don't usually get sick (knock on wood). Not a great way to start your week especially when you have work and book editing to get done. A couple days later I was fine, going about normal life, then all of a sudden the virus hit me even harder. I then faced more hours on the couch, a more major fever, a monster headache, and some other unpleasantries.

I finally hauled my butt to the doctor's office after about a week and a half of this, and she says "Oh, wow, I think you have either a GI track or urinary track infection."

Great.

To top it off I had an allergic reaction to the anti biotics she gave me and my throat got all tight and dry for like a week.

SO! Not that anyone really wanted to know all that, but that is where I have been, and why there has been no new blogs. I am just now in the past 3 days getting much better (knock on wood again) and am hoping to resume my editing on my YA sci-fi novel. An agency in New York has showed much interest in it, and I'm praying with the right amount of editing and adding they'll say "we'll take it!"

Dreams, dreams... my goodness being a book writer is exhausting sometimes, but if I can actually get to the top someday it will ALL be worth it!

In other book news, Predator Girl kindle edition went free again last week on Amazon and ranked #7 on the YA paranormal freebies list! I about cried--it was the best news I'd seen in weeks.

Kindle edition for A Taste of Silver was currently holding rank #7000 in paid kindle bookstore, but I believe its back down around #11000. I looked up my account the other day and saw that we've sold about 400 copies of it so far for Kindle!

In reading news, i'm currently re-reading Catching Fire from the Hunger Games series. Jeez, even second time around I still stay up til like 2 in the morning because I can't put the thing down! I have also been reading on and off Finale, the last book in the Hush Hush saga (LOVE that series) but currently the book has gone missing from my library... I suspect we have a hob goblin running about again.

Anyway, off to see if I can't do a little editing before going to work today. Will update again soon.
