Alexander McQueen
I don't consider myself to be much of a fashionista, and as a teacher and mother of three, comfort takes precedence over pencil skirts and high heels. I've recently started working as an Editor Consultant with a new friend from Barcelona, Spain. Alejandro DiEsko is a brilliant photographer, who is extremely passionate at what he does. He is Chief Editor of an up-and-coming fashion magazine called BEHIND IT. Recently, Ale expressed that his first passion is in film production. Tossing around some ideas, Ale's lifetime dream has been to create a movie about the life of the late Alexander McQueen. Because of his language barrier, several nights ago, Ale invited me to meet someone he deemed a "priority". I agreed to go and was immediately impressed with a most vibrant and amiable fashion designer that I had ever met in my life. Sebastian Pon, a creative artist, attended college with and was a very dear friend of Alexander McQueen. He shared with us, some of his most intimate memories of the designer–the Alexander behind the runway scene. I was immediately mesmerized by his recollection of the iconic designer. The experience, stories and emotions were OH SO surreal. I have a newfound respect for fashion, yet a tremendous sadness for the tragic ending of the late great Alex. :)
