You can do both , don't feel uncertainty by college, you'll have enough time to go to university, study, be friends and write. Hope this cheers you up :)

I hope the future brings the next book to me and success to you. That first book was a good one by the way.
I really liked The Dragon Knight Order so please write the next one I know its not easy to write books but you are really good at it I read your last book for 2 days straight because I could not put it down so please do college and writing at the same time I believe in you
Med school and indie author? It can be done. B Justin Shier is doing it, and he's good.http://www.bjustinshier.com/
An author has to write for himself. You wrote your first book for yourself, published it, and hey, look at that, there are some people who like it. Does everyone like it? nope, to bad, so sad. Just think about how broccoli feels. Some people love it, others hate it, it even managed to get banned from the White House for a while.
Don't get upset at the critics, and don't get all starry eyed at the adoring fans. Just tell the story you want to tell, and tell it the way you want to tell it.
I would suggest you write something every day, even if it is something different. The more you write, the better you get at it. Besides, once your in college, you can bet your going to be writing regularly. I hope you can find some time to write for your fans while your at it.
