It's pure joy, getting e-mails from readers; not just young readers, but older ones, too. I get some sweet letters from grandparents, who have purchased one or two books in the Lab Rat or Julep O'Toole series for their grand kids. My favorites notes are the ones that tell me Grandma or Grandpa read the book aloud with their grandchild and they laughed non-stop.
