What's up?

So I guess for my first post, a little introduction would be in order. You know my name be now, or you probably wouldn't be at this blog. Just fyi, when it comes to my fiction, I believe in fast pacing, and intense action. I believe it is possible for novelists to get too bogged down in details these days. I am a firm believer in the intelligence of my audience. Unlike the days of Dickens and Tolstoy, I find that extensive over-description can wear on the modern reader (at least it does on me). After all, we are the fast food, thirty second commercial generation. Don't get me wrong, detail is important, and I don't slack in that regard, but if I say "tropical island", most of us have had enough media conditioning to immediately conjure a more elaborate picture that what an author could describe. I like to think of my writing as allowing my readers to create their own images of my worlds. I invite you to give The Night Sweeper a try. It is very atypical for a zombie novel in ways I believe you'll find to be refreshing. Last of all, I love to hear from my readers, so don't hesitate to contact me. Here's to the hopeful start of a beautiful friendship for many years to come!
