Just read your first note. Glad to see you posting, as I am now currently reading your 3rd book Eggsecutive Orders and I am loving it as usual. :) I love your writing and the central characters. Though I am not sure I like Ollie with Tom...it's the 3rd book and I am still sold on their relationship. But, I am anxious to see what unfolds for them. Thanks for writing such an intriguing series!

Thanks, Kelley! I really appreciate you noticing my first post. This is all new, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it eventually. I'll be interested to hear what you think about the Ollie/Tom situation after you finish Eggs. Best,
Julie
Well, I'd seen your post too but I was too shy to be the first one to answer ;) I've only read State of the Onion, but I've liked it a lot, so I've waiting Hail to the Chef, and I'm looking forward Grace Under Pressure too.
I have read State of the Onion and Hail to the Chef and I loved them both. I have Eggsecutive Orders in my cabinet to read when I have a chance. I am new to Goodreads, but I like your work.
Hi Marisa - wow, I don't know how I missed your message until now. But thank you so much! I hope you enjoyed Grace. I just finished the second in that series and I'm pretty excited about it.
Hi Fawn - I really enjoyed writing Eggsecutive Orders because we get to meet Ollie's family in that one. I hope you enjoy it, too. Thanks so much for your note!
I just finished reading Foreign Eclairs. I've read the whole white house chef series and love Ollie and her friends. In general, I'm not a huge cozy fan, I usually end up not liking the main characters. There's something that irks me about characters that have no law enforcement training, no gun and generally have not told anyone where they are going or what they are up to, taking off to follow someone they suspect of murder. To me, there is just something stupid about that. In Ollie, you wrote a smart, funny, engaging and very aware character who was never stupid. Also, I love reading about cooking and food, so the recipes were always a plus. I am truly sorry to say goodbye to this character and her friends, it has been a very enjoyable series and when I finished reading one of the books, I always looked forward to when the next one would come out. By the way, I loved the way you ended the series, it was very satisfying. Thanks.
Thank you so very much, BJ. Your note means a great deal to me. I've always tried my best to avoid the kind of shortcuts that -- though they might advance the plot -- would serve to make Ollie act foolishly. Many of us refer to that as TSTL - Too Stupid To Live. That's not the kind of character I'd follow and so that's not the kind of character I write. Thank you! Ollie and the gang have been my very good friends for a long time. I'll miss them, too!
