Just Your Average Glove-Wearing Author
So I have a condition called Raynaud’s Phenomenon. Specifically, it’s primary Raynaud’s, also called Raynaud’s Disease, and that means it’s not an indicator of something far more serious (whew). Raynaud’s is a circulation thing that affects my arteries. Changes in temperature and times of stress can set off an attack, in which some or all of my fingers and toes first lose blood flow and turn white, then lose oxygen and turn blue. It’s a very neat party trick. When the blood flow finally kicks back in (anywhere from a few minutes to much longer), the fingers and toes go quite red. I’m very patriotic, you see.
Anyway, so there’s no cure for this. I was recently told that the best thing I could do would be to move to a warm, dry climate. Maybe that will happen down the line, but certainly not for many years. So I have to do my best to stave off Raynaud’s attacks — and that means keeping warm. Gloves and warm socks. All the time. Okay, maybe when it’s 70 degrees or better outside, I won’t need gloves. But for the time being, just call me Glove Gal. Yeah, I’ll be **that** author — the eccentric one who Wears Gloves Inside.
So…anyone know where I can get a few pairs of awesome gloves?
