LOL funny, Harv. And pass the rod, baited. Or did he do his own baiting of the hook?
Harv: Meant to tell you I wrote a review on Strega, it's here. Would you read it? Strega
It was a great book...tough subject, but great book.
Hey, Cathy!I don't know Hemingway's fishing habits; but he did apparently suicide via shotgun, and he was looking awfully depressed as I handed him the shotgun. I didn't stick around. @hg47

I bet he baited his own. He was a real man's man whatever that is. And yeah, I bet he did look depressed. He wasn't the only one in that family who killed himself.

Hey, Cathy! Per your request, I re-read your Strega review (sometime, you'll maybe tell me how you put links into comments where the visual text is different from the link?). I had previously read your review and GoodReads-LIKED it. Your review does not make me want to read his book, however. Makes you feel unclean? I prefer my fiction to be fun. Doesn't sound like fun. That's just me. And, honestly, reading about raping children is more than I can handle right now. Cheers! @hg47
Harvey, good to see you here! That Hemingway's one generous guy, even post-mortem. Here's what he wrote for A DANGEROUS FICTION: “This is a brave book, with heart and guts and kidneys. This book charges straight up the hill, bayonetting all who stand in its path.” http://bit.ly/ZRR5jVBut maybe we should keep the whole posthumous blurb thing to ourselves, don't you think? Poor guy needs to get some sleep.

You have been a bad influence upon me, girl! Your August 19, 2012 post about Blurbs From Dead Writers -- http://barbararogan.com/blog/?p=163#c... -- gave me a meme to play with that has been a lot of fun. I'm just making 140-character or less tweets with the idea, and I'm going for the laugh, not the self-promotion. Hell, my friends on Twitter don't read anything longer than a tweet anyway. I have also expanded your idea to include Live Celebrities. Hell, they are fair game right?
My last two tweets on "The Barbara Rogan Dead Meme" are:
Alan Alda praising my time travel novel DAUGHTER MOON: “My mother didn't try to stab my father until I was six…”
Asked Spiro T. Agnew to blurb my new time travel novel DAUGHTER MOON. He said, “Some novels are fit only to line the bottom of bird cages.”
So, when I get into trouble, I'm going to blame you, Barbara!

Harv:
Believe me, I understand that. The book is definitely not for everyone. But I am going to read another Vachss, one that isn't that subject, because he is an incredible writer.
Keep up the good work. Cathy

But it does sound like him. Wasn't he the "nattering nabobs of something something" guy?
Hey, new GoodReads Friend!Nah, Spiro isn't alive. Those were my last two tweets on "The Barbara Rogan Dead Meme" theme -- including dead writers, dead famous people, live famous people, and, new addition, anyone abducted by aliens (what the aliens think about DAUGHTER MOON). @hg47
P.S. -- I think Bill Clinton was the nattering nabobs of negativity guy.
