I wanted to take this opportunity to thank everyone who helped make my little book, Some Are Sicker Than Others, such a huge success. Because of you and your undying support in helping me get out my message (do I have one?), it has finally reached "bestseller status" on Amazon. It is currently ranked #1 in its genre (Substance Abuse) and #8 in its sub-genre (Psychological Thrillers) on Amazon. To give you an idea of how huge this is..."Sicker" is side by side with monster successes like "Silver Linings Playbook" (yep, like the Bradley Cooper film), "Life of Pi" (another book made movie), and "The Language of Flowers". Not bad for a self-pub'd Indie with a $100/mo marketing budget. I have no idea how long it will last, if at all. I just wanted to savor the moment somehow. It's funny though. I've been waiting for this moment for years and now that it's finally here, it seems unsurprisingly anti-climatic. Oh well, at least still have my ice-cream to look forward to later tonight.
