There's a Special Kydd Kit up for grabs! As well as several books, it will contain a Kydd Cap, postcards, bookmarks and some other nautical bits and pieces. The winner will be the entry judged the most apt and original by myself and the Bosun. Closing date is May 31 and the winner will be notified by email.

Kydd is my favourite because it introduces us to this wonderful character and the world he lives in. Without a great start most readers wouldn't stick around for more.

My favorite is The Admiral's Daughter. Great to see a Kydd love interest, and his newfound social standing.
