My Review:
Heart Murmurs is the first book in a new young adult series series by R. R. Smythe. This book was completely different from anything I've ever read before. It takes famous authors of the past that we all know and love and adds quite a twist. Mia's situation is gripping, and she is a very loveable character, so that just makes the reader that much more attached to her as the book progresses. Morgan tries to be tough and distant. It didn't last long, but he tried. He's pretty adorable actually. The muscle memory aspect to this story is very interesting. Some of the odd and quircky things the body is capable of is truly amazing. There is so much to this story both on the surface and deeper, and it was a complete adventure to read. Just when you think everything's okay, guess what? It's not. Heart Murmurs takes originality to a whole new level. I was super excited to find out in my interview with the author, R.R. Smythe, that there will be a sequel to Heart Murmurs! The ending definitely leaves you believing there will be more. And there is more, so much more left to be told about Mia and Morgan.
