PS tells the story of Sara, a young woman who has been experimented on by an alien geneticist since childhood. She has passed every test, and now he's ready to take her away, promising that if she cooperates, no harm will come to the people she loves. But the guy she picked up in a bar for the sex phase of the experiment complicates things by refusing to break up. He doesn't know about the geneticist, but he's pretty sure someone's harassing Sara, and he's going to put a stop to it.

The geneticist has another human subject named Brietta, and even though he sees her as vastly imperfect compared to Sara, he'll take her if need be. And since she's off on a remote archaeological dig with a hot but anti-social grouch of a boss, the chances of anyone trying to save her are slim.
