I just read an interesting article in Los Angeles Magazine (July 2013) by Sophie Sartain. She writes about hiking in Runyon Canyon, known to those that hike the mostly rugged uphill obstacle course as the Hollywood Stairmaster and the treasures she has found inside the Wishing Box.

The Wishing Box for those that may never hike the canyon that leads from the backside of Hollywood and up into the hills, sits atop Hero's Trail. It is an ornate box, a kind of mail box to the universe; a depository of wishes and prayers. But it is one of the messages she found inside that I feel was particularly poignant that I'd like to share. It read, "Miracles happen when you give more energy to your dreams than your fears."
