100 Years Of Solitude

One Hundred Years of Solitude One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

A very funny story regarding this book. I purchased it to read some years ago, to accompany and entertain me as I crossed the Atlantic aboard an old schooner, where I had sought passage as a paying deckhand.

However, a few days before my intended voyage I was struck down by a mystery illness after my return from a short break to Bangkok, where I met a lovely young lady named Peter.

Well, to cut a very long and false story short, I was prescribed penicillin by my doctor, which I took as prescribed. Unfortunately, due to my illness I was informed that I was no longer required for the Atlantic crossing.

Therefore, and in conclusion, I never did get to read this book, but I expect it is very good, so I gave it a resounding 5 stars because a lot of other people, who probably did read it, did that.

I never did hear from Peter, my girlfriend from Thailand, after I returned home. Which was sad, as I really wanted my family to meet her, as they had never encountered a girl with a penis before.
