I should be flying out to China today, but thanks to the Volcanic Ash Cloud of Doom, I'm one of the hundreds of thousands of folk stick in limbo. Fortunately I'm at home rather than stranded in an airport, so it's not so bad, but the situation is completely surreal.

We're thinking of trying to rebook for two weeks' time. That should give the aviation authorities time to decide whether or not it's safe (and if a NATO jet can get crapped up by the ash, I don't want to fly through that cloud)...
