Justice

Oliver Wendel Holmes, when asked about justice, said that he was there to administer the law, not justice. Sometimes we forget that truth when we get caught up in a trial. Trials have little to do with justice in many instances. I have served on several juries and have some idea of the thought process. Without reasonable doubt is a large burden for the prosecution. And that is the way it should be, for far better to release a guilty man than to put an innocent one in prison.

Be at peace with yourself and the world will take care of itself.
