But still the odd person comes along, reads the blog and moves on, like the finger writing in the sands of time. This is for them...
Still writing. As I've said before, it becomes a habit and you feel somehow deprived and guilty at the same time if you haven't produced some new words every day. Currently it's a detective novel - old-fashioned and traditional in approach but I've read several lately and to me far too many are needlessly violent and graphic nowadays. So even swearing is rather mild in my fictional detective's world. It's enjoyable to write after recent rather serious efforts.
Reading - coming to the end of volume 4 of 'In Search of Lost Time'. In such a huge book, there are flatter sections but Proust is right back on form as he explores the ageing of Baron de Charlus, an unforgettable character.
Feel free to say hello.
