Tower Prep update

First off, let me say how grateful I am to the hundreds of Tower Prep fans who have continued to contact me in the years since the series finished its original run on Cartoon Network. I'm thrilled that the show was enjoyed by so many and I also am sorry that Cartoon Network has chosen to never renew it, nor release a DVD set of the first, and only season episodes. Many people have asked me about petitions, e-mail campaigns and the like to keep the show going. I'm not sure what attention they would be paid at this point, though of all of the options, an e-mail campaign would have the least effect. Actual posted (stamped and mailed)letters are what most networks respond to, though keep in mind Cartoon Network is unique in they program what they want, cancel what they want, and are not known for paying much attention to fan protests. Their biggest hits now are animated comedy shows, and they most likely will continue to concentrate on producing them for the near future.

As for me selling the show to another network, while I was the series creator, Cartoon Network (and Dolphin Entertainment, their co-producer on the project) own the rights to the show, not me. It's Cartoon Net's decision not to run or renew the show, and, as it cost a lot of money to produce and did not immediately deliver the big ratings smash they wanted, they yanked it. Ironically now that fans all over the world have seen Tower, and many more have watched via download, the ratings for first run broadcast would arguably be much better, but CN remains resolute in their decision not to order new episodes. The same with forbidding comics or books that continue the characters stories. I wish it were different, but they make the decisions, not me.

However, lots of people have asked where they can send their letters of support or protest, so I have included the address below. As always, the letters should be polite and never hurtful. After all, these are the nice folks who took a chance on producing the show in the first place. Let 'em know you like it, you miss it, and who knows? Let's see what happens.

Mr. Stuart Snyder
President
Cartoon Network
1050 Techwood Drive NW
Atlanta GA 30318

Thanks, guys. Hugs from Sr. Guapo and me.

Paul

Kotaro11 Hi,
I love tower prep and wanted so much more of the show when I saw it on tv is there any chance you can get CN to give up their rights to the show and sell it to another network?

message 4: by Lauraj (new)

Lauraj Wow CN are so mean not giving the rights to your show back to you I mean they don't want to continue the show so why don't they be nice lads and give the rights back to you so you can somehow continue the show and put our minds to rest on how the show ended cause it ended on a cliff hanger and I need to know what happened!!!!!! You need to somehow convince CN to give you back the rights to the show because I LOVED that show! (Maybe send them cupcakes idk)

Sorry about the show getting canceled :/

message 8: by Erica (new)

Erica Can't you you just go to a network and ask them if they want to buy the show and then go to Cartoon Network and tell them that a network wants to buy the show?
I just really want a second season!!!

message 9: by Erica (new)

Erica I loved and still love Tower Prep. I am waiting for season 2 and to find out what happens next. Tower Prep is literally my favorite show and I will never forget it. There are so many fans out in the world and I know that there would be more if the other seasons came out. Please make a book or make CN sell it to another network or give it back to you. I would totally read and watch Tower Prep. TOWER PREP will always be in our hearts.

Noah Shamaa Mr.Dini how about renewing the tv series have you though about writing the continuation of the series as a book? I think us fans would appreciate that if we can’t watch it, we can at least read to see what happens next.

Hunter Hey Mr. Dini. I've been rewatching originally your tower prep every October 16th on its birthday. Every year since 2010. I've told so many people about this show and I've heard nothing but positive words. I've been to the main building in Canada where it was filmed, I've been inside the buffer arena stadge, I've even visited the west campus building. Its 2018 now and i'm confident that something will happen to tower prep eventually. This show holds a very special place in my heart. I alwase get chills when I watch it to this day. The cliff hanger gets me every time. I just wanted to say thank you for creating these memories for me. Maybe one day we will get to see what happens next.
