Prince Edward Island.
I’ve wanted to visit here since reading Anne of Green Gables as a child. And here I am. Today we visited Green Gables and walked through the haunted woods and down lover’s lane.
It’s very beautiful here, and flat. It makes me worry that if a big wave came it would roll right over the ocean.
On the way up here we visited the Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick. It has the highest tides in the world. Aliza and I saw a place called Reversing Falls in Saint John, where the tide pushes the river backward when it is high, and when it’s low the river runs the normal way.
It’s a rugged and beautiful park of the world. Here are some photos!
There were also several kinds of red berries. Not like raspberries, little round berries. I remember from my childhood in British Columbia that some are edible and some are poisonous. I don’t remember which is which so I shan’t be trying any.
