Reviews

I'd like to thank readers who reviewed my book. Honest, but gentile, feedback from readers that I don't know helps improve my story telling and the quality of my writing.

A comment that I've heard twice is, "There's too many adjectives."

What the readers are running into is that language of the Krackers can be quite odd. They are largely an illiterate group and have grown accustomed to butchering their sentences (using too many adjectives) because they don't really care to speak properly. This abuse of sentence is systemic within the Kracker community and passed along to the children, who mimic their adults. I'm wondering if that's what the reviewers are running into.

My southern readers seem to grasp that notion.

I use an editing software called "Style Writer". It does a good job in highlighting the grammatical issues, then grades the content. Obviously, style writer had issues with the Kracker dialogue, which I had to ignore, because voices in my head of the characters spoke differently.

I've experimented with big, beefy nouns and hefty, active verbs and compound sentence as part of my writing, but I don't think that's how we thing or speak in real life. Much of my writing is a flow how we speak and think.

Telling a story is like releasing a Broadway play, years of efforts depend upon the reaction of the audience opening the book for the first time. I appreciate the positive comments reviewers have afforded me.

Thank You.
