On the heels of my depressing review came this outstanding review from Thehorrorbooth.com! 
I appreciate anyone taking the time to read my books and the effort to write a review but waiting for said review is always a bit nerve wracking.  Imagine working very hard on something that you love very much.  Imagine getting feedback from people who love you saying that it is wonderful.  Imagine worrying that they were only saying that to make you feel good (or that their feelings for you were coloring their response to your project).  And then imagine sending your darling out into the world and finding out that many people love it, including strangers who have no reason to protect your feelings!
As I said in my previous post, reading positive reviews helps to counter the depressing feeling of getting a negative review. Not everyone is going to love every book but I am pleased that The Crooked House is finding its audience. 
As the sayings goes:  "Remember the compliments.  Forget the insults.  If you succeed in doing this please tell me how."
And now back to working on the next book.  The second book in The Lilith Chronicles should be out by the end of the year, muses willing!
