No matter how carefully I try to catch errors before posting something, a wrong word often sneaks in.
For example: in Blog #48 posted earlier today, the second paragraph has a very good word, “pray,” but it’s the wrong word for that sentence. It reads: “…earn a living by stringing words together so that readers will PRAY for them.” Obviously, it should have read ….”PAY for them.” A better phrase would have been “will buy them.”
I know there’s got to be a way to correct the error on the post, but time is running out to leave on our trip, so I apologize for the mistake and move on.
However, this incident gives me an opportunity to add another thought: I appreciate readers who have written to say they pray for me and my writing. I know it’s common practice to pray for your local pastor. But how many pray for the writer?
