A Visit To Venice

When I was a kid, there was in the news a collection of cities that we should visit before they vanished . One of them was the beautiful…

By the year 2000 this city was supposed to be completly flooded.

To admire the city you have to take the helicopter tour, like I always do in every town that it is available.

Then you can decide where to star touring.[image error]It is expensive, but so is everything else here in Venice so…

[image error]A fantastic view of downtown.

[image error]Every visitor has played, feed, and hate the pigeons in the main square. The government has tried to eliminate them, but they are everywhere and it is always full of people…

So we have to learn to live with them, love them or hate them.

[image error]One of the beautiful landmarks in this city are the bright terracota color roofs. With a few exceptions like this church, everyone else has brick color roof.

The water and the town are clean, but cold.

[image error] Those who have visited Las Vegas would witness that is a perfect copy what we have.

[image error]Sinking city? This image shows exactly the contrary.

[image error]If you have money, the best way to get around Venice are the water taxis.

[image error]If you like living in an island where gondolas are the rule, Venice is your city.

[image error]What have we learn?

[image error]The next time we hear a prediction like the one I listen more than 40 years ago, take with a grain of salt.

[image error]Because Venice is here to stay.

Did you like it?

Please let me know.
