Infantry Lieutenant

My dad grew up on a cotton farm near a small farm town in West Texas. He entered Texas A&M in the fall of 1939, as freshman in the cadet corps, fully intending to return to the family farm upon graduation. Uncle Sam had different plans, however, as his entire class was inducted in the spring of 1943.
