Hollywood

An IP attorney based in Los Angeles that works within the entertainment industry has requested the 'publication versions' of all my novels! He is going to market them to the major Hollywood film studios! The Amulet, as some of you know from previous posts here, is already of interest to 20th Century Fox. He has been made aware of that. This person has already read KING OF THE NINE HELLS, a work he wrote to say he 'loved.' Now he will read everything I've written, each novel a high-concept work of commercial fiction, the genre of the most interest to Hollywood. Here's one of the best parts of this venture -- if the attorney is successful in his sales efforts, and I am offered a film contract by Warner Bros., for example, publishers will be immediately drawn to my novels for obvious reasons. But the acquisition price skyrockets when a movie contract is in place.

Given the amount of reading to be done by this individual prior to approaching one of the Big Six studios, I expect we will see results no earlier than April of next year. But I can wait!

The books are so high-concept and sophisticated, it probably took a lot longer for the Hollywood Bigwigs to get through than Dean initially thought.

I was just wondering the same thing, as I've never heard of these books, the "movies," or even this author before today.
