I wrote my first ever short story last week and really enjoyed writing it. Yes I know, most people start off with short stories and migrate towards longer pieces, ending up with a novel. I had to do it backwards, wrote a novel and then had a go at the short story.

Anyway I really enjoyed writing it and I've posted it on my website for anybody to read, so anybody interested there's a link to it here on the website, its called Serendipity and its aimed at children, probably teenagers, and it's about One Direction.

We've just got back from a week's holiday in Coniston and it is absolutely thick with snow there, as soon as we got onto the A roads the snow had completely disappeared.
