Okay, I just re-read My Blood Approves. Why you say? Because I love it. LOVE. IT. I mean, I kind of shy away from all books vampire because after Twilight, well, come on. Those are really big shoes to fill. But, I really loved Hocking's take on vampires and who knew it was possible to make drinking someone's blood hot...cause I didn't.

The first time around when I read this series, I had no idea she was even self-published. So what made me take a chance? Glad you asked.

The cover, I loved the cover. (Gasp!)

I know, cardinal rule, right? NEVER JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER! And yet, I do. All the time. Half the time, I don't even look at the author or the Title...all of that comes a distant second to the cover. I download or buy the book because firstly the cover hooked me and secondly the synopsis reeled me in.
I love covers. Pretty, pretty covers like My blood Approves or Half-Blood (ooooh, i really loved that one) and of course, Twilight to name a few.

So, if anybody ever finds a great read hidden under a lack-luster cover, by all means drop me a line and let me know!
