I'm kinda lost...

OK - so my second giveaway ended last night (congratulations to Cassandra and Mat), and 867 people signed up for the two books.

Here's what's running through my mind:

I have no distributor for Body of Knowledge. I have hand delivered (quite literally) over 300 copies.

I can still recall, quite vividly, the first person that ever paid retail price for my book. I remember thinking: "I cannot believe someone actually paid 16 bucks for a paperback book." Here's the good part - Three weeks later she emailed me and said it was one of the best books she'd ever read. (Her name was Shauna, and she was also my first review on amazon.com). So I'm thinking, maybe this is worth the 16 bucks...

I guess I'm just too much in the rut of paying $6.50 for Grisham's mass markets at the local Wal-Mart.

So the giveaway taught me some valuable lessons, the major one being that this book CAN make it when it gets to 'The Big Dance'. I always, in my gut, felt that it could. I believe it has too many redeeming qualities to fail. (To be perfectly honest, I thought to myself "If The Shack can go big time, Body of Knowledge should be able to make it easy"...)

I cannot fathom spending $16 for a paperback. To those of you reading this, and are interested, drop me a message with your name and address, and I'll get you a [signed:] book for $12.50 (which includes s/h). I'd make it less if I could. You'll like the book, and, the odds are that you will probably LOVE the book.

I am Bryce Anderson, and I need a trustworthy distributor for Body of Knowledge. I've never been here before, and I feel lost.

Bryce

Laura I am friends with Cassandra who won your book and gave it a 5 star rating. Congrats! I will see if she is willing to let me borrow it. Best of luck on getting your book out there. Goodreads seems like an excellent tool. I didn't care for The Shack either....
