New Christmas Traditions Interview

L.L Akers Holiday Traditions:

"This year I’ll be making new holiday traditions because it will be the first time my eldest son has ever shared the holidays with us. Within the pages of Let Me Go is another small tale of the main character, Gabby—and unwed pregnant teenager. She decides to give the baby up for adoption. That story is based on myself. I’ve reached out for my baby every year since he’s turned eighteen, but he’d not yet contacted the adoption attorney… so I’ve been waiting. I waited patiently long enough! I turned to Facebook for help in October 2013, and my post went around the world with 984 shares in eight hours to start with. Over 80,000 people had seen it when six short weeks later, on 11-12-13, I finally had my baby boy in my arms again, although much bigger at six foot two inches tall! My youngest and only other child is eleven and is ecstatic to have a big brother—his exact words were, “I got a big brother for Christmas this year!” The holidays will be extra special and I’m digging up all sorts of ideas from Pinterest to make new traditions for my boys on our first Christmas together, the first of many, many more."
