Knight & Day - help!

Hello lovely ladies!

I'm coming to you kind of cap in hand today ~ I need a little help, or advice maybe?

I'd like to be able to get the word out on goodreads that Knight & Day came out y'day, but I'm not sure how to. I know - I should know this stuff!

I'm far too english and awkward to go and splash it all over the forums, it feels like waving my knickers over my head in public and I don't want to piss people off by shouting 'read my book!'. But all the same... I'd dearly love it if they would, lol!

If anyone has any ideas or thoughts on what goodreads users would appreciate, or thread recommendations I should look at and be brave enough to post in, I'd be forever grateful for your advice.

I love, love, love writing these books, but when it comes to marketing, I truly suck!

Much love,

Kitty xx

Chappy Hi Kitty,
You could look through your "fans" on Goodreads and ask some of them to review "Knight & Day" for you. This review then gets automatically posted to all that person's "friends". It could start the ball rolling. I've often seen other authors offer free copies of their book in exchange for a review.
You could also target specific Goodreads Erotica "Groups".
Love ya
Julie

Kitty French I love you ladies so much for posting it places because I'm too much of a scaredy-cat to do it myself!

I've just started an 'ask Kitty French' thread, eek!
(Just don't ask me for tips on how to promote books, because I clearly have no clue. :))

Z-squared Hi Kitty, big fan of the series. I didn't even know a third one was coming, so I'll be adding it to my xmas wish list post haste! Another of my favorite authors (who writes in totally different genres, just fyi) also blogs about being an indie author versus traditional publishing, tips and tricks of the trade, etc. You might find her blog interesting, especially these two posts about word-of-mouth and discoverability:

message 19: by Elizabeth (new)

Elizabeth Wait, WHAT!! The third book is out?!?!?! Like now??? Oh, you sooo need to splash this all over the forums and anywhere else you can! You'd be doing your fans a HUGE favor. Fortunately, I just got around to hitting the "become a "fan" button on my favorite authors on Goodreads this evening... otherwise I would have never seen this. I rely on Amazon and Goodreads to suggest books to read based on what I've already read... a lot of good that did for Knight and Day. I'm soooo excited to read this!!! Getting it right now!!

message 20: by Kitty (new)

Kitty French Thank you Elizabeth! :) I hope you enjoy reading it. x
That's the prob really, getting the word out. I'm trying to shake off my english reserve and wave my knickers a bit more, lol!
