Please Welcome AJ Wiliams

Please help me welcome A.J. Wiliams, the author of the suspenseful romance series Bounty for Hire. A.J., thank you so much for being here.

The exciting new installment in the Bounty for Hire series is Bounty for Love. Tell us about this new book.

Thanks so much for having me.

Bounty for Love continues where the first book Bounty for Hunter started. Bounty for Love follows Tess and Alek as they work to prove her brothers innocence as well as keep dangers from Tess. Bounty for Love is also full of secrets and what Tess and Alek do with those secrets.

What do you find is Alek's sexiest quality?

That is a hard question. Alek has this aura around him that screams bad ass. So I have to say for myself it is that. There is nothing like know you have a bad ass at your side that makes you feel safe.

What is the theme that holds the Bounty for Hire series together?

The theme of the book is one event pulling four books together. The first three books take place at the same time but follow different people. In the end of Bounty for Love we get a glimpse into Jefferson's story. What is it like for  one story to take place from several different views?

What qualities do you feel makes a believable and endearing heroine?

That question is really based on not just the author but the reader. For myself I find heroines that are strong and yet at the same time there are moments where they show a vulnerability. Readers might not like the switch but I love it. It reminds me of real women.

I've heard many editors say writing sex scenes is a lot  like writing fight scenes, know where each body part is at all times! Do you find writing intimate love scenes easy or challenging?

Hmmm great question. I honestly would rather write a love scene then a fight scene. In a love scene you know the body parts that are affect and where touches would work. Love scenes there are a lot of emotions that go into the writing, but those emotions feel natural.

Are there any authors who have inspired your personal writing style?

Not yet, but that isn't to say that there won't be in the future.

What do you like to do in your spare time? Do you have any favorite hobbies or ways you clear your head and relax?

I love playing with my two kids. My kids really help to keep me balanced. Between tea parties, and lego wars I have lots of time to relax, or maybe not relax lol I guess it is in how you look at it.

I read that music is a large muse for your writing process. I too really enjoy Lana Del Ray (my favorite song is This Is What Makes Us Girls). Tell us how music has sparked your creativity and played a role in your writing.

I love music. Music does play a huge role in my writing. It can be the words of the song or just the beat that gets me worked up. If I am writing a story I really listen to the beat of the moment. There are a few songs that get me worked up. In Bounty for Hunter it was I'm not afraid by Eminem. That was my theme song for Keylee. For Bounty's End it was several actually. Bounty for Love  it was Staind's So Far Away

What advice would you give to new writers?

Write every day. Even if is just a few lines. Write, then go back and make changes when you are done writing the whole story. Have a good beta reader that will tell you when you suck and when something is great.

Other than that trust in your story.

Now it's time for fun! Every guest to my blog gets a series of rapid fire question. A.J., here's yours.

Vampires or Werewolves: Werewolves

Hot Coffee or Hot Tea: Hot Tea

AJ grew up in a small southern town in Missouri. It was there that she discovered her love of writing. Having the ability to create a story from nothing into something held her spell bound. She holds a bachelor’s degree, and will on occasion find it useful. Currently, AJ lives in Kansas City, Missouri with her husband and 2 small children and their two dogs.

Her very first story was a poem about the sun ending and the moon beginning which she wrote when she was ten. Since that time her stories have taken on their very own life. She writes stories that make you think about real life, the 'what if' this happened to me scenario. “There is a story in all of us” is a favorite saying of AJ’s.

AJ loves learning about new things, playing games with her family and listening to music. She loves romantic movies as well as science fiction. If truth be told, she loves fantasy and science fiction movies just a little bit more.

At any given time she can be found reading to her kids, instilling in them the importance of a good story. Yet do not worry; she is also found by her kids and husband at the computer typing away.
